FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that Benadetta Mkandawire has completed a permanent move to Kazakhstan’s BIIK Shymkent Women’s Club.
The 22-year-old Malawi defender joins the Kazakhstan champions on a two-year contract.
BIIK Shymkent, a side that has won the Kazakhstan championship 18 times since 2004, plays in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Mkandawire departs after playing for The People’s Team for two-and-a-half years, coming from Blantyre Zero, which Bullets acquired in 2022.
This season, the right-footed wingback has been instrumental in our fight for the Goshen-FAM Women’s Football Southern Region League championship, captaining our women’s side to maintain an unbeaten run in 16 league games and leaving them at the summit of the table with 44 points.
