Chikumbutso Salima, Yamikani Mologeni, Yankho Singo and Babatunde Adepoju have been nominated for the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month for November.
Bullets were unbeaten in the six matches we played across all competitions last month.
Most remarkably, The People’s Team defended the Airtel Top 8 trophy following a 1-0 victory over Silver Strikers at the Bingu National Stadium on 9 November.
The nominees contributed significantly to our incredible run and as you pick your winner, we take a brief look at how they fared.
Chikumbutso Salima
Our reserves graduate enjoyed splendid performances last month, finishing it with two goals and two assists.
The noxious winger was involved in our winning goal against Silver Strikers, which took us to yet another Airtel Top 8 glory.
Against Mighty Tigers and Civil Service United, Salima, who missed only the Changalume Barracks match in the Castel Challenge Cup, was the recipient of the Player of the Match accolades following his perfect displays.
Yamikani Mologeni
Our former reserves captain was involved throughout the month and put up awesome performances.
The out and out full back was outstanding in our 5-0 battering of Changalume Barracks that he was voted Player of the Match in the end.
His ability to operate without any difficulty in both the left-back and right-back roles has made Mologeni an important member of Kalisto Pasuwa’s backline.
Inheriting the iconic number 2, synonymous with club legend Fischer Kondowe, the young player demonstrated in November that he is also capable of creating goal-scoring opportunities on the counter.
Yankho Singo
The young central midfielder, another graduate from Bullets reserves, has been extraordinary this season. In November he maintained his standards with stellar performances.
He ran the show in our 2-0 win in the Airtel Top 8 semi-final clash against Kamuzu Barracks at the BNS to claim the Player of the Match award at the start of last month.
Singo made three appearances for us last month as he also featured for Malawi against Burundi away in Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso at home.
Babatunde Adepoju
The Nigerian striker, our leading top goal scorer this season, was again vital to us in November.
Out of the five appearances he made last month, Pasuwa’s hitman grabbed two goals which all came in our big win over Changalume.
It wasn’t all about the goals from the striker but his ability to play with the team surely makes him one of the contenders for this prestigious monthly award.
It’s now time to vote for your November Player of the Month below!
