Bob Mpinganjira has included eight FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players in the latest Flames U-20 national team squad ahead of the four-nation tournament Malawi will host this month.
Interestingly, the seven youngsters called up for national duty are drawn from all our three men’s teams.
From our U-19 side, the duo of Henry Manganyera and Kondwani Tebulo appear on the 44-man provisional squad list released by the Football Association of Malawi on Friday.
Regular contributors for junior Flames, Bullets Reserves, have four of its youngsters on the list. Francis Malikebu, Blessings Kanowa, Hadji Steven and Kondwani Chirwa make up the four players coming from Enos Chatama’s side.
Having made his senior debut last season, 17-year-old goalkeeper Sharifu Swadiki is also in the national squad as the only youngster from the quadruple-winning Kalisto Pasuwa’s first team.
Mpinganjira’s junior Flames will commence camping on 11th March in preparation for the tournament slated for 18-26 March in Lilongwe where Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya will be other contestants.
The club wishes all the best to the lads!
