Transfer News: Gamphani signs for Bullets

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to announce that Lameck Gamphani has signed a three-year contract from Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.

The 21-year-old midfielder will be at The People’s Team until August 2027.

Gamphani scored 26 goals and registered 48 assists in his three-year stay with the Dedza-based Super League side.

Gamphani said: “It’s an honour for me to play for The People’s Team and as you know, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is the biggest team in Malawi, it has always been my dream to play for this noble club and who can say no to Bullets? It’s a dream of every player to play for this big team. It’s a great opportunity for me to be here,” he told club media on Monday.

Having shined at his past immediate club, the winger said he would try his best to handle pressure, adding that football is the same but the environment will change.

He also explained why he was keen to join the Malawi champions and looked forward to wearing the red shirt.

“Football is the same. I played well at Dedza and that’s the same way I will play here. The only difference will be the environment and jersey colours. For me, I don’t succumb to pressure. This is a team of results. It’s a team that plays to win trophies and to me, it’s a challenge to play for this club to win more silverware with the club. I am looking forward to wearing this red shirt.”

In the 2023 season, he finished second to Patrick Mwaungulu with the number of assists, registering ten assists to his name.

In the current season, he has scored three goals and has provided seven assists, topping the list in the TNM Super League.

Gamphani was part of the squad that helped Dedza Dynamos earn their Super League promotion from the Chipiku Central Region League at the end of the 2020 season.

He is Kalisto Pasuwa’s first signing in this summer transfer window.
