The mini-Blantyre derby is on the horizon as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Under 19s will take on Mighty Wanderers Youth in the semifinals of the African Herbal Mixture Cup.
The first mini-derby of 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, 26 April at Mpira Stadium and will kick off at 14:00.
Bullets showed resilience in their quarterfinal match against a determined Yizo-Yizo Warriors. After a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time, the tie went straight to penalties and Yamikani Fodya’s boys held their nerve, winning 3-2 in the shootout to book their place in the last four for a third time.
Their rivals made light work of Ekhaya Youth, securing a 2-1 victory to progress to the semifinals.
Bullets and Wanderers have already written memorable chapters in their budding rivalry. Last season, our boys won the first-round of the FCB Katswiri Under 19 League meeting 1-0, while the young Nomads got their revenge in the return leg with a 3-2 triumph.
