FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Under 19s produced a masterclass performance to win 4-0 over Extending Hope in the FCB Katswiri Under 20 League at Mpira Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The team’s dominance on the pitch was evident from the start, and their relentless hunger for goals eventually paid off with a convincing 4-0 win.

What happened

Yamikani Fodya’s boys went into this tie coming from a 2-1 defeat against Young Stars on Saturday.

The game kicked off with a flying start as both sides looked to show dominance in search of an early goal.

Our youngsters won their first corner kick in the 9th and Vincent Kampira played a quick pass to Osman George, who then spotted Kelvin Chimodzi, whose header went over the bar.

Three minutes later, the visitors won a free kick, but Owen Kondesi’s effort was saved by Hopeson Phiri.

Our side played two quick corner kicks in succession, but both were cleared by the visitors’ defence.

Bullets finally broke the deadlock in the 19th minute, thanks to Kampira’s clinical finish after receiving a beautiful pass from Dominic Kayamba, who had been set up by Chimodzi and Martin Adam.

Bullets continued to dominate the match, with Kayamba taking a shot in the 25th minute, but his effort was deflected to a goal kick.

Extending Hope won their first corner kick in the 29th minute, but Felix Manonga’s effort was thwarted.

Young Maule continued knocking, seeking a second goal and their pressure finally yielded off in the 37th minute, with Chimodzi’s thunderous header into the top right corner following a pinpoint pass from Kampira to go for the break with a two-goal advantage.

The second period commenced with the Bullets continuing their attacking momentum.

In the 49th minute, Extending Hope made their first substitution of the match as Demobrin Msowoya was brought in to replace Erick Chilikumbuyo.

Brian Mwase extended our lead from the rebound of Chimodzi’s header after he was set up by Osman George, 3-0

Fodya made his first substitution in the 60th minute, introducing Blessings Lungu and Issah Felix into the fray for George and Adam.

Fifty seconds later, Felix thought he had scored only to be denied when the flag went up for offside.

But the youngster completed the mission on the day with a sublime finish in the 65th minute, capitalizing on the rebound of Kampira’s shot, 4-0.

Fodya made the last substitution of the day a minute after we scored, introducing Justin Chipewa, Jimmy Zakazaka Jnr and McDonald Bonongwe for Mwase, Chimodzi and Kayamba.

The match ended with a commanding 4-0 victory for the Bullets Youth over Extending Hope.

What it means

“It was a tough game, but I’m thrilled with the response from my players after our disappointing 2-1 defeat in our previous outing. The players executed our game plan to perfection, and I’m extremely proud of every one of them. This win is a huge confidence booster for us, and we’ll look to build on this momentum in our next game.”
