First Team: Bounce-Back Win Keeps Title Hopes Alive

The First Team endured a challenging northern trip that ended with a 2–0 defeat to Moyale Barracks on Wednesday afternoon. The setback limited Bullets’ northern harvest to three points following an earlier 2–0 win over Karonga United.

Back at Mpira Stadium, Peter Mponda’s men responded with character, securing a 2–0 win over Ekhaya FC on Sunday. First-half substitute Maxwell Phodo opened the scoring, before he setup Ephraim Kondowe to seal the victory. The result reignited belief among supporters and reinforced the team’s title credentials.

The win moved Bullets to second place with 62 points from 28 matches, just three points behind Mighty Wanderers (65 points). Silver Strikers remain third with 57 points, and Civo Service United complete the top four with 41 points.

With only a handful of matches remaining, Bullets remain firmly in the title conversation as the TNM Super League race intensifies.
