Bullets duo receive Scorchers U17 call-ups

Two FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women youngsters have been called to the Malawi provisional squad for the Hollywoodbets Cosafa U17 Girls’ Championship.

Asimenye Mwanyongo and Linda Nyangu will join 32 other young female footballers who are expected to start camp on 20 November in Blantyre.

The tournament will take place from 4 to 13 December in Maputo, Mozambique, alongside the TotalEnergies U17 Boys Africa Cup of Nations-Cosafa Qualifier.

Mwanyongo and Nyangu were also part of the 37-member provisional squad for Malawi U17, which was in camp for two weeks preparing for the forthcoming African Union Sports Council Region 5 youth games.

Coached by Linda Kasenda, Malawi are in Group B alongside South Africa, Namibia and Madagascar.
