Maggie Chombo expects FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women to have a tough outing away to Ndirande Soccer Giants on Sunday.
Our women’s team will be travelling to Nyambadwe Ground for their third game of the 2024 Goshen-FAM Women’s Southern Region League campaign for the 14h30 kick-off.
Bullets go into Sunday’s encounter coming from a big win as they hammered visiting Mulanje-based FOMO Women 20-0 at Kamuzu Stadium last Saturday.
“We have prepared well and the ladies are ready to face the giants of Ndirande who are also doing pretty well in the league. We don’t expect an easy match,” Chombo said. “But I know the girls will give their all to get maximum points.”
She added: “The last game against FOMO we didn’t do pretty well in the second half and we have been working on that during this week’s training sessions, so I expect some changes this coming match.”
Chombo and her girls will be on the road with a full squad as the team has no fresh injuries following the recovery of Linda Nyangu from soft tissue damage.
In their opening two matches, Bullets Women, who lost the Southern Region League championship to Ntopwa last campaign, have already scored 38 goals and conceded one this season. They first defeated 11 Stars 18-1 in their league opener, before last Saturday’s smashing of FOMO.
