Mkwate undergoes successful surgery

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Mike Mkwate has undergone a successful broken mid-tibiofibular reconstruction surgery on his right leg.

He underwent an open reduction and internal fixation in Blantyre as part of his treatment for a long-term injury he suffered in June, three months after rejoining Kalisto Pasuwa’s side from Polokwane City.

Mkwate was stretchered off in the final minutes of our 3-2 defeat to Silver Strikers in the Castel Challenge Cup ceremonial match at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.

The Bullets number 8 will now immediately focus on his rehabilitation with the support of our medical personnel as the club expects him to make a return next season.
