FCB Nyasa Big Bullets scored seven goals in six matches we played across all competitions last month.
We briefly refresh the strikes for you while you take the time to pick your winner.
Precious Phiri vs Civil Service United – 04 August
The defender opened the scoring for us last month with a big solo goal in our quarter-final tie against Civil Service United at home. Found by Babatunde’s cut-back in the area, Phiri snatched it at the death to beat Civil’s keeper Rahaman John with a half-volley to send us through to the semis with a 1-0 victory over The Servants.
Ronald Chitiyo vs Moyale Barracks – 11 August
11 August will go down as a remarkable day for the Zimbabwean international as he opened his account for The People’s Team in this league fixture, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The former CAPS United and Harare City player made a perfect run into the box to connect to a Maxwell Phodo delivery into the box, drawing yet another picturesque goal for the fans.
Babatunde Adepoju vs Red Arrows – 18 August
After years of ripping apart defences in domestic competitions, the Nigerian striker finally announced himself on the big stage when he scored in our TotalEnergies CAF Champions League first preliminary first-leg match against Zambian champions, Red Arrows, at the Bingu National Stadium. Baba showed remarkable strength to out-muscle his marker in the box before scoring a thumping goal that would stage our 2-1 comeback victory.
Precious Phiri vs Red Arrows – 18 August
Making it his habit, Phiri produced another match-winning goal, this time in an African competition. When the Zambian champions failed to defend a corner kick, Phiri roamed in the box, and when the ball fell in his path, he smuggled the ball into the net to send the BNS in absolute ecstasy.
Ephraim Kondowe vs Moyale Barracks – 21 August
His only goal in August came during our 3-1 win over Moyale. It’s about his run and his composure to emphatically bury a fine low cross from Baba, beating the ‘keeper at the near post to open our scoring in the FDH Bank Cup semis that evening.
Babatunde Adepoju vs Moyale Barracks – 21 August
With two assists already then, Baba equalled that tally in goals as he scored the second goal against Moyale and his second of the month. Proving himself decent in the box, Baba ran away from his markers to tap in a Stanley Biliati precise cross with his weaker foot.
Babatunde Adepoju vs Moyale Barracks – 21 August
The striker has scored a lot of spectaculars in our colours, but there is truly something special with the one that sealed our 3-1 win over the Lions of Kaning’ina. From the halfway line, Baba carried the ball into the box, where he wizardly beat several defenders before rounding off the ‘keeper to seal our victory and book us a place in the FDH Bank Cup final.
