The November International break is over, and all four FCB Nyasa Big Bullets teams are set for action in another busy week for The People’s Team.
Our senior men’s side and the reserves will have two games each, while the women’s team awaits a new date for their fixture that was abandoned on Sunday due to heavy rains.
The Under 19s will also be in action in the FCB Katswiri Under 20 League.
We look at what’s coming ahead at Bullets this week…
MONDAY
The men’s first team and the reserves resumed their training sessions in readiness for the upcoming games.
Kalisto Pasuwa’s side was at bay last weekend due to the men’s final international break for the year and following the conclusion of the break, they go straight to action midweek as we welcome Changalume Barracks.
Our reserves drew 0-0 against Ekhaya United in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League on Sunday. With the midweek games coming up, they have no time to rest as they prepare for the visiting Red Lions.
TUESDAY
Training sessions continue for the four teams at their respective training venues.
10h00 – Michael Ngore’s press conference
In the absence of Kalisto Pasuwa, who has been with the Malawi national team as interim head coach for the 2025 Morocco African Cup of Nations Qualifiers, first assistant coach Michael Ngore will welcome journalists at our club offices at Ginnery Corner for the senior team’s pre-match press conference ahead of our midweek cup fixture.
WEDNESDAY
15h00 – Bullets v Changalume
The Castel Challenge Cup defending champions will host lower division side, Changalume Barracks, in the Round of 32 of this campaign at the Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe. A win will see Bullets advance to the next stage, where another Hilltop United await in Mzuzu.
THURSDAY
15h00 – Bullets Reserves v Red Lions
Our reserves will host Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium in their fourth game of the ThumbsUp SRFL knockout stages.
Enos Chatama’s boys have had a tough start in the last eight, collecting three points from three draws in three matches. Their latest result was the goalless stalemate against Ekhaya on Sunday. A win on Thursday will revive their hopes of reclaiming the league title.
FRIDAY
The men’s first team will travel to Lilongwe for our next crucial TNM Super League assignment.
The reserves, women, and the U19s will continue preparing for their weekend fixtures.
SATURDAY
15h00 – Silver Strikers v Bullets
Pasuwa’s men will be away at Area 47 taking on the TNM Super League leaders at Silver Stadium.
Bullets will be hoping for a win to avoid what happened in the first round as the Central Bankers collected all three points with a 1-0 victory over the defending champions at Kamuzu Stadium in June.
Peter Mponda’s side scored on the counter in the dying minutes of the tie through Chinsinsi Maonga to break the hearts of the home fans, who saw their team dominating but couldn’t find the back of the net before conceding to register Bullets’ first loss at Kamuzu Stadium in nearly two years.
After Saturday’s game, the defending champions will remain in Lilongwe for another league encounter against Civil Service United on Wednesday at Civo Stadium.
SUNDAY
09h30 – Bullets U19s v Extending Hope
Bullets youth side will be in action against Extending Hope in the FCB Katswiri Under 20 League at Mpira Stadium.
Our development side lost 2-1 to Young Stars on Sunday, and they will be looking to bounce back from their recent disappointing result.
14h30 – Mwanza United v Bullets Reserves
Chatama’s boys will be away at Balaka Stadium to take on Mwanza United in the ThumbsUp SRFL on Sunday afternoon.
Women
Maggie Chombo and her girls are yet to learn when their Goshen-FAM Women’s Southern Region League match against Ndirande Soccer Giants will be replayed.
The game was halted in the 20th minute due to a heavy downpour in Chiwembe on Sunday. At the time of the abandonment, Bullets were trailing 1-0.
