FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women will no longer commence their 2025 FAM Southern Region League campaign this Sunday, as initially scheduled.
The team was set to face Zomba City Lioness (formerly Red Lioness) at Kamuzu Stadium, with kick-off slated for 08:00 hours. However, the Southern Region Women’s Football Association has confirmed the postponement of the fixture.
Friendly Fixture Confirmed
In place of the league match, the team will participate in a friendly encounter against newly formed Chilomoni Queens at the same venue and time.
This match will serve as the curtain-raiser for a football triple-header involving teams from the Bullets family.
The friendly provides head coach Maggie Chombo and her squad with an important opportunity to maintain match sharpness ahead of the official league kickoff.
Chilomoni Queens recently featured in the 2025 FAM Women’s Southern Region League playoffs but did not advance to the main competition.
Sunday Triple-Header Lineup
Following the women’s fixture, Bullets Reserves will take on Mwanza Stars in what promises to be a thrilling contest, as Heston Munthali’s side looks to extend their current run of strong form.
The day will conclude with the first team facing off against Mighty Tigers in a highly anticipated TNM Super League showdown. Peter Mponda and his men will be aiming to secure all three points against the resilient Kau Kau Boys.
