Two Bullets stars earn Flames call-up for World Cup Qualifiers

Two of our own, Yankho Singo and Chikumbutso Salima, have once again earned national recognition as Malawi head coach Kalisto Pasuwa named his 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Namibia and Liberia.

The Flames kick off this crucial window with a tough away test against Namibia at Francistown Stadium in Botswana on Friday, 5 September, before returning to home soil to welcome Liberia to the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Monday, 8 September.

The People’s Team had as many as eight representatives in earlier Flames assignments this year, and while this call sees only two, Bullets’ influence at international level remains strong through Singo and Salima.
