Juma claims Reserves September HTD Player of the Month

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves defender Precious Juma has been named the HTD Player of the Month for September, earning recognition for his growing influence, consistency, and leadership at the heart of the Young Maule defence.

With Bullets Reserves featuring in just one fixture during September—a commanding 7-0 victory over FOMO Reserves in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League—the 20-year-old produced a standout display, helping his side keep a clean sheet and getting on the scoresheet himself.

Juma capped a fine all-round performance by winning possession deep in the opposition half before calmly slotting home Bullets’ final goal of the afternoon — a fitting finish that sealed a memorable win.

His September award also reflects his solid run of form throughout August, where he impressed with mature defensive displays, composure on the ball, and excellent reading of the game during successive victories that strengthened the team’s title push.

Since joining Bullets Reserves in May 2025 on a four-year deal from Mwanza United, Juma has continued to establish himself as one of the team’s most dependable defenders, blending physical strength with tactical intelligence and quiet leadership at the back.

The technical panel was unanimous in selecting him, praising his defensive discipline, aerial dominance, and ability to initiate attacks from deep areas.

The HTD Player of the Month initiative continues to celebrate players who display outstanding performance, professionalism, and commitment within the reserves setup.

As the second round of the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League intensifies, Juma’s presence and leadership will be key as the Young Maule look to extend their unbeaten run and remain firmly in contention for the title.
