Blessings Mpokera, Yankho Singo, Chikumbutso Salima, and Babatunde Adepoju have been called up to Kalisto Pasuwa’s 26-man Flames squad for friendly matches against Lesotho during the upcoming FIFA international break.
The call-ups underline the players’ strong performances at club level, with all four continuing to play key roles for The People’s Team across domestic competitions.
The FCB Nyasa Big Bullets quartet will join the Flames as part of preparations for the team’s next phase of international fixtures, coming shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.
It will be another international opportunity for Singo, who continues to impress in midfield for club and country.
Salima returns to the national fold after recovering from injury and regaining top form with Bullets.
Mpokera is rewarded for his solid defensive displays this season, and Babatunde Adepoju — who made his Flames debut in the 1-0 loss to São Tomé and Príncipe — keeps his place following an impressive run of form in attack.
At Bullets, Singo has continued to command the midfield, Salima has rediscovered his sharpness in attack, and Mpokera’s defensive discipline has been key as The People’s Team maintain their push in the TNM Super League and other domestic competitions.
The friendly matches against Lesotho are scheduled for 15 and 18 November 2025 at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
Falling within the November FIFA international window, the fixtures form part of Malawi’s continued preparations for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
The Flames are expected to regroup in Blantyre on Monday, 10 November 2025, to begin training ahead of their departure for South Africa.
