The Super League of Malawi has appointed the officiating team for Sunday’s TNM Super League fixture between Creck Sporting Club and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
Bullets currently sit top of the standings after reclaiming the summit on Thursday with a 2-0 victory away to Kamuzu Barracks in Lilongwe, about 150 kilometres from Sunday’s venue.
With the title race approaching its decisive stage, three crucial points remain at stake for The People’s Team in their final Central Region league assignment.
Referee – Alfred Chilinda
In the last four years, Alfred Chilinda has been involved in nine Bullets matches in total — six as centre referee and three as fourth official.
His centre-referee assignments include high-profile fixtures such as the historic 4-0 Blantyre derby win over Wanderers in the 2021 Airtel Top 8 semi-final — Bullets’ biggest derby victory in 24 years — and the 1-0 league defeat to MAFCO at Dedza Stadium in 2022, which ended Bullets’ 25-match unbeaten run that season.
In 2025, Chilinda has served as fourth official in both the Airtel Top 8 quarter-final second leg against Creck Sporting and the semi-final against Karonga United in June.
Assistant Referee 1 – Evance Msonda
Evance Msonda has overseen four Bullets matches since 2023, including this year’s Airtel Top 8 semi-final against Karonga United where he ran the line.
Assistant Referee 2 – Zagallo Chimbulumata
Chimbulumata last handled a Bullets match in 2023 when they faced Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium. He previously officiated fixtures involving Bullets against Mzuzu City Hammers and Ekwendeni Hammers at the same venue.
Fourth Official – Lackson Chunda
Chunda has taken charge of one Bullets fixture, serving as fourth official during the 2024 Airtel Top 8 quarter-final second leg against Civil Service United.
Match Assessor – Verson Lwanja
Lwanja will be assessing a Bullets match for the first time.
