It’s another action-packed week for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, with all four teams ready to make their mark across Malawi’s top competitions.
After an encouraging weekend of results, the focus now shifts to crucial midweek and weekend fixtures as the club continues its push for success in the TNM Super League, NBM Women’s Premiership, Blantyre District Youth Football League, and the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League.
It promises to be a thrilling week for Bullets fans, with each squad aiming to deliver results and maintain momentum in their respective competitions.
First Team: Midweek Trip to Mzuzu
Fresh from their 2-0 win away to Karonga United on Saturday, Peter Mponda’s men remain top of the TNM Super League with 59 points from 26 matches, level on points with Mighty Wanderers but ahead on goal difference.
Bullets will stop in Mzuzu for a midweek clash against Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium on Wednesday. Moyale come into the match following a 3-0 loss away to Civil Service United in Lilongwe on Sunday.
A win on Wednesday will see The People’s Team reopen a three-point gap over Mighty Wanderers, who welcome Karonga United to Kamuzu Stadium 24 hours later.
Following this fixture, Mponda’s men have three games remaining to wrap up the season — two at home against Mighty Tigers and Mzuzu City Hammers, and a final away fixture to face Ekhaya FC.
The aim is clear — secure maximum points, extend the lead, and finish the season strongly as the title race enters a decisive stretch.
Reserves: Back in Action on Thursday
After a weekend off, Heston Munthali’s Reserves return to action on Thursday against Mighty Tigers Reserves at Kamuzu Stadium.
Currently fourth in the Reserves league with 46 points from 26 matches, the team will aim to pick up full points, close the gap on the top three, and finish the season strongly.
Consistency and composure will be key as Munthali’s charges look to climb the table and make a late-season push.
Women’s Team: Away to Moyale Sisters
Maggie Chombo’s side, fourth in the NBM Women’s Premiership with 19 points from 12 matches, will travel to Mzuzu on Saturday morning for an away match against Moyale Sisters.
After their 1-1 draw against MDF Lioness, the Bullets Women will aim to claim all three points, move up the standings, and maintain momentum in the Northern Region.
This will be their first trip back to the area since their pre-international break match two weeks ago.
Under-19: Narrowing the Gap at the Top
Yamikani Fodya’s boys are back in action this weekend as they chase a sixth win of the second round against Young Stars.
Currently second in the Under-19 league with 43 points from 21 games, they remain five points behind league leaders Wanderers Youth.
Every match is crucial as the Under-19s aim to reduce the gap at the summit and stay in title contention, with consistency and strong performances essential for success.
