Bullets come into the match on the back of a convincing 2–0 win over Ekhaya FC, which followed a frustrating 2–0 loss to Moyale Barracks during their northern expedition. Substitute Maxwell Phodo opened the scoring against Ekhaya before assisting Ephraim Kondowe to seal the win, reinforcing the team’s title credentials.
The victory moved Bullets to second place with 62 points from 28 matches, just three behind Mighty Wanderers (65 points). Silver Strikers remain third on 57 points, with Civo Service United fourth on 41 points.
