FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have reached an agreement with Civil Service United for the transfer of striker Dastan Banda ahead of the new season.
The 25-year-old Malawian forward will join The People’s Team after an impressive campaign with the Lilongwe-based side.
Banda joins The People’s Team after an impressive spell with the Servants, where he established himself as one of the standout attackers in the TNM Super League.
The forward is known for his physical presence in attack, aerial strength, and ability to finish inside the box, attributes that made him a key attacking outlet for Civil last season.
During the 2025 campaign, Banda scored nine goals and registered one assist in 27 league appearances, finishing as the fourth top scorer in the TNM Super League.
He also scored once in the Airtel Top 8 and once in the FDH Bank Cup.
His goalscoring form placed him among the most productive strikers in the league during the 2025 campaign.
The league’s Golden Boot race last season was won jointly by Bullets duo Babatunde Adepoju and Chikumbutso Salima with 15 goals each, while Kamuzu Barracks striker Zeliat Nkhoma finished third with 12 goals.
Adepoju left at the end of the 2025 season after returning to Venda Football Club in South Africa following the conclusion of his two-year loan spell at Bullets. Salima, the 2025 Player of the Season, also completed a move to Sudanese club Al-Merrikh SC in January.
The move forms part of Bullets’ preparations for the upcoming season as The People’s Team looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the new campaign.
The club is pleased to have reached an agreement with Civil Service United and thanks the Lilongwe-based side for their professionalism during the negotiations. Further details regarding Banda’s unveiling and registration will be communicated in due course.
