Dastan Banda completes move to Bullets

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have completed the signing of striker Dastan Banda after the 25-year-old Malawian forward put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at The People’s Team until 2028, with an option to extend for a further year.

Banda joins Bullets from Civil Service United following an impressive campaign with the Lilongwe-based side.

The striker enjoyed a strong spell with the Servants, establishing himself as one of the standout attackers in the TNM Super League.

Known for his physical presence in attack, aerial strength and ability to finish inside the box, Banda was a key attacking outlet for Civil last season.

During the 2025 campaign, Banda scored nine goals and registered one assist in 27 league appearances, finishing as the league’s fourth top scorer.

He also scored once in the Airtel Top 8 and once in the FDH Bank Cup.

Speaking after completing the move, Banda said he was delighted to finally join the club he has long admired.

“I’m very excited to have finally joined the team that I have always wanted to play for in my career. I had a number of offers, but my heart was here, so when Bullets came knocking I didn’t hesitate to say yes.

“I had a good season at Civil last year, scoring important goals for the club despite some challenges, but overall it was a positive campaign for me.

“I’m here to work hard, team up with my teammates and deliver for the club. As players we always want to win trophies, and as a striker my job is to score goals and help the team win games. My ultimate goal here is to win the league.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting my teammates, the likes of Mpokera and many others. I would also like to thank Civil for contributing to my development up to this point.

“To the supporters, I want to say I will give my best for the club that has trusted me. I know it won’t always be rosy, but they should expect something good from Dastan.”

Banda becomes Bullets’ fifth signing of the current transfer window as the club continues strengthening its squad ahead of the new season.

Bullets welcome Banda to The People’s Team and wish him success during his time at the club.
