Bullets extend FCB partnership, unveil Zonse Lotto

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have extended their partnership with First Capital Bank and unveiled Zonse Lotto as a new partner, strengthening the club’s commercial position ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The announcement was made on Friday evening in Blantyre during a special club event attended by stakeholders, partners and invited guests, with The People’s Team also unveiling the 2026/27 kit.

The extension strengthens one of the club’s most significant commercial relationships, with First Capital Bank continuing as a key partner in the club’s ongoing growth.

Since the partnership began, First Capital Bank has played an important role in supporting The People’s Team both on and off the pitch, contributing to the club’s success and professional structure.

The continued backing comes on the back of a successful period for the club, which has seen The People’s Team secure major domestic honours in recent seasons.

Speaking at the event, FCB Head of Marketing and Communications Twikale Chirwa described the renewed sponsorship as a reflection of a strong and growing relationship.

“This occasion marks not just a partnership, but a shared dream between two great institutions. We are proud to be associated with a brand that commands a massive fan base and has inspired generations,” he said.

Chirwa confirmed the bank’s long-term commitment to the club, describing the K3 billion three-year sponsorship as a statement of belief.

“It is a statement of belief — a belief in the power of sport to transform lives. Over the years, this relationship has grown, and we have celebrated success together. This renewal reflects the value it has created since 2023.”

He also acknowledged the role of supporters in the club’s continued success.

“We pay tribute to the supporters, who form the backbone of this club. We want to empower, uplift and inspire both current and future generations.”

Chirwa added that strong collaborations remain key to progress.

“Partnerships like these demonstrate what we can achieve when we work together. We believe that belief comes first.”

Club President Konrad Buckle also described the occasion as a significant moment in the club’s journey.

“Tonight reflects the journey we have taken as owners of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. It has been amazing to see the right people driving this vision forward,” he said.

Buckle also acknowledged the role of key stakeholders in the growth of the game, including Mighty Wanderers president Dr Thom Mpinganjira.

“We have seen individuals like Dr Thom Mpinganjira contribute to taking the Super League to the next level, and we appreciate the continued support from FAM and SULOM leadership.”

He further welcomed Zonse Lotto to the club, highlighting the significance of the partnership.

“This partnership is a milestone for Zonse Lotto. Bullets is a big brand, and we are proud to have them on this journey with us.”

Buckle also reaffirmed the club’s commitment to its newly announced foundation.

“We will continue to support the Foundation. We are proud of Maya and the work being done to establish the Nyasa Big Bullets Foundation.”

The club also used the occasion to unveil Zonse Lotto as a new partner, marking a new chapter as Bullets continue to grow their commercial portfolio.

As part of the agreement, Zonse Lotto will invest K400 million into the club over a three-year period, further strengthening Bullets’ growth on and off the pitch.

Speaking during the unveiling, Zonse Lotto Brands Manager Francis Mutuwawila said the partnership is rooted in shared values and a strong connection with the people.

“We believe this club belongs to the people. It represents millions who live and breathe the game — and that is why this partnership means so much to us,” he said.

He added that the partnership goes beyond branding, with a focus on creating opportunities and engaging supporters.

“This is more than visibility on matchdays. It is about supporting a national institution, investing in local talent and creating opportunities for Malawians.”

The partnership is expected to bring fan-focused activations and enhance engagement with supporters, while further strengthening the club’s commercial outlook.

The latest developments underline the club’s commitment to building strong, sustainable partnerships as The People’s Team continues its build-up to the 2026/27 season.
