Nyirenda impressed by Mologeni

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Wedson Nyirenda has reserved special praise for Yamikani Mologeni after being impressed by the defender’s attitude and application during his first full week with the squad.

The Zambian tactician, who took charge of The People’s Team earlier this month, says he has been encouraged by the response from his players as he begins to stamp his authority on the team.

Having spent a full week on the training ground with the squad, Nyirenda expressed satisfaction with the attitude and commitment shown by the players as they continue adapting to his methods.

Nyirenda made the remarks during Thursday’s pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s FDH Bank Premiership encounter against Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

Asked about the players’ adaptation to his methods, the Bullets boss reserved special praise for Mologeni.

“I’m particularly very impressed with young Yamikani Mologeni. He’s a big machine. Somebody can see a small man in him, but that’s a big player.

“He goes on his own without being told, he comes back in time, so I think he’s holding on to that position very well.

“And these are the things we need from the players, adapting quickly and then we move as a team.”

Bullets will take on Kamuzu Barracks on Sunday in Nyirenda’s first FDH Bank Premiership assignment in charge of The People’s Team.
