FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Malawi Posts Corporation have entered into a partnership which aims at improving the club’s interaction with its supporters and the sale of merchandise across the country.
The pact between the two parties was unveiled during a press conference held at the club’s offices in Blantyre on Thursday afternoon.
With 180 of its offices spread across the country, MPC is expected to operate as a means of bettering the club’s relations with its followers.
“Today will go down in history as the day two Malawian giant brands that have been in Malawian lives for a long time came together to change the narrative and outlook of football in the country,” said MPC’s Acting Director of Business Development and Marketing, Linda Mpando.
Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda, believes the partnership will benefit both parties deemed among the country’s greatest brands.
“Realizing that Malawi Posts Corporation has footprints in all the 28 districts, we took a bold step to request MPC to partner with our club to use the post offices as central points for the delivery of our merchandise and production of membership cards in [all] the districts.
“The club will also use the Post Courier system as a vehicle for easy delivery of our services to the supporters and potential customers. As a club, we will also see to it that businesses done by Malawi Posts Corporation are supported by our people because post offices are supporting The People’s Team. As a winning brand, we envisage that we will support the growth of MPC’s businesses,” Nyirenda said in his speech during the unveiling ceremony.
