Gomezgani Chirwa’s strike against Moyale Barracks in the TNM Super League has won the Precious Medical International Goal of the Month award for November.
The wingback dinked the ball over goalkeeper McDonald Harawa from outside the area into the back of the net after being set by Nickson Nyasulu to score the second goal in our 3-1 win over the Lions of Kaning’ina at Kamuzu Stadium on 12 November.
Chirwa was up against Lanjesi Nkhoma and Hassan Kajoke for the inaugural PMI inaugural award and his goal was a firm favourite with Bullets supporters, getting 64 per cent of all the votes cast via our 441 SMS platform.
Nkhoma’s strike in our 7-0 victory over Karonga United in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 quarter-finals on 5 November received 14 per cent of the votes whilst Kajoke’s goal in the 2-1 win against Dedza Dynamos in the TNM Super League on 19 November came in third place with 11 per cent of the votes. The remaining 11 per cent of the votes were null and void.
This is the inaugural award following the unveiling of the Goal of the Month prize last month, courtesy of our partner, Precious Medical International.
Chirwa wins the GOM award on the back of being named the Hubertus Clausius Player of The Month for October.
This season, the defender has played 26 TNM Super League games, five in the FDH Bank Cup and two in the ongoing Airtel Top 8 campaign.
Congratulations Gome!
