Nyasa Big Bullets’ newly-signed defender Isaac Badu is now eligible to play for The People’s Team.
This follows the issuance of international transfer clearance and authorization by the immigration department to enable the Ghanaian to start working in Malawi.
The former Bulawayo Chiefs signed a two-year deal with Bullets last month after impressing Kalisto Pasuwa during trials in pre-season following his arrival in Malawi in April.
Pasuwa described his latest acquisition as someone very experienced, adding that he will add value to his squad which has had eleven players released prior to the new season.
“We have added depth in our defence. Isaac is one of the players whom we have been looking for. Remember last time when we played international matches we didn’t have players with stature in defence and I believe bringing Isaac will bring another type of flare in our defence. We welcome the boy and we wish him the best of luck.”
On his part, Badu said he was looking forward to play for this “amazing club”.
“I am excited to be part of this big family and to get to work under a coach of high caliber like [Kalisto Pasuwa] makes me happy. I cannot wait to play with such exciting talent at Bullets, a team which has skilled players, a team that plays good football and a team that is very united, so it’s a great feeling to play for this amazing club. I want to win more titles and cups and to do well in the CAF Champions League.”
The defender will likely be available for selection when Bullets host Mighty Tigers after the international break this month.
