2023 TNM Super League Fixtures: Bullets to face Silver on Matchday 1

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will open the TNM Super League title defence with an away fixture to Silver Strikers at the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, 15 April 2023.

This fixture will officially launch this year’s Super League campaign as The People’s Team will be eyeing a fifth title in a row.

Bullets ended last season with a 2-1 home win over Dedza Dynamos, a result that saw us setting a new record for winning the league with 73 points after registering 22 wins, seven draws and a single defeat.

Maule scored a whooping 69 goals and conceded 21 to extend a record of a fourth consecutive league championship.

The Super League of Malawi on Monday night released the 2023 schedule that will run from 15 April to 12 November.

The People’s Team will play the second match at home a week later, welcoming Mafco FC at the Kamuzu Stadium on 22 April, before travelling back to Lilongwe to face the rookies, Extreme FC, at Civo Stadium on 29 April.

Kalisto Pasuwa’s charges will then host Moyale Barracks in Blantyre on 6 May and will travel to Mpira Stadium to face another newly-promoted side, Bangwe All Stars.

The 16-time league champions will return to Lilongwe again for another exciting fixture against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on 21 May.

Bullets will wrap up next month’s fixtures at home against Red Lions on 28 May.

The first week of June will see the defending champions on the road to the Northern Region for the first time this season to face Chitipa United on 3 June, before returning to Kamuzu Stadium a week later to host Ekwendeni Hammers.

On 17 June, Pasuwa’s charges will travel to Chiwembe to face Mighty Tigers at Mpira Stadium and to Civo Stadium to play Kamuzu Barracks on 24 June.

The highly-anticipated Blantyre derby will be played at Kamuzu Stadium away to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers on 1 July and it will be followed by our home fixture against Blue Eagles on 9 July at the same venue.

The People’s Team will host Dedza Dynamos on 15 July before concluding the first round with another home match against Karonga United on 22 July.

The second-round fixtures will see Bullets travelling to Chitowe to play Mafco FC on 5 August and will be back at Kamuzu Stadium for a home clash against Extreme FC on 13 August.

The People’s Team will travel to Lilongwe to face last season’s runners-up Blue Eagles on 20 August before hosting Tigers a week later at Kamuzu Stadium.

Bullets will have another home game against Civil Service United on 2 September before travelling up North to play Karonga United at Karonga Stadium on 9 September.

Maule will then host Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium on 16 September and Wanderers on 23 September.

The month of October will see Bullets travelling to Dedza to face Dedza Dynamos on the first day of the month and will host Bangwe All Stars at Kamuzu Stadium on 7 October, before playing two back-to-back away fixtures in the Northern Region against Ekwendeni Hammers and Moyale Barracks on 14 and 21 October, respectively.

The final three fixtures that month will see Kalisto Pasuwa and his Bullets travelling to Balaka Stadium to play Red Lions on 28 October, then return home for two back-to-back fixtures at Kamuzu Stadium against Chitipa United on 4 November and Kamuzu Barracks on 12 November.
