Patrick Mwaungulu has been crowned winner of the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month for June.
Mwaungulu starred in every match the reigning champions played in June. Despite the month turning out to be low-scoring for Maule, he earned us the only goal we scored last month in three games.
The creative midfielder brightly put on display his cunning skills and orchestrated lots of goal-scoring opportunities for The People’s Team.
His high spot was a spectacular volley he dispatched against Creck Sporting, and he maintained impressive form in our draw against Kamuzu Barracks, making substantial contributions throughout.
To win this prestigious monthly award, Mwaungulu earned more votes on top of fellow nominees, defender Nickson Nyasulu and midfielder Lloyd Aaron who picked up the accolade last month.
Meanwhile, Mwaungulu is together with teammate Lanjesi Nkhoma in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he is on the edge of joining TP Mazembe.
Congrats to the young magician.
