FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that Lanjesi Nkhoma has completed his transfer to TP Mazembe.
The wing forward finalised his move to the Democratic Republic of Congo champions after signing a two-year contract.
Nkhoma joined Bullets through our reserves team from Siso FC in 2019. He spent a season with Team B before earning his promotion to the first team at the start of the 2020 season.
However, he didn’t enjoy his first season as football was temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
When the suspension was lifted, the maestro came out blazing with extraordinary performances that saw him form a deadly combination with Babatunde Adepoju, especially in the Airtel Top 8. He scored the equalising goal against Silver Strikers before sealing the victory on penalties.
In his maiden season, the 22-year-old made 16 appearances across all competitions.
In the 2022 campaign, Nkhoma made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring six league goals and two in the Airtel Top 8.
Nhoma’s most successful season with The People’s Team was 2023, when he made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals in the TNM Super League, three in the Airtel Top 8, two in the FDH Bank Cup, and one in the Castel Challenge Cup.
During this season, he was named the Airtel Top 8 Player of the Season after winning the Golden Boot. In the edition, he scored a brace in the final against Mafco FC at Kamuzu Stadium.
He was also named the Player of the Tournament in the Castel Challenge Cup in which he scored three goals and provided two assists in the four matches he played, helping Bullets win every piece of domestic silverware.
In the 2024 season, he made eight appearances for the club before flying out to the DRC to join the Ravens of Lubumbashi.
In total, Nkhoma made 96 appearances for Kalisto Pasuwa’s side, scoring 29 goals.
Good luck, Lanjesi, and the Bullets family would like to thank you for all the fabulous memories.
