Chikumbutso Salima’s exceptional performances have earned him the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month award for November.
The fearsome winger played a key role in our winning goal against Silver Strikers on 9 November, as The People’s Team won 1-0 to win the Airtel Top 8 Cup for a second consecutive year.
Salima, who did not feature in one match last month, as we defeated Changalume Barracks 5-0 in the Castel Challenge Cup Round of 32, earned Player of the Match honours for his flawless performances against Mighty Tigers and Civil Service United.
To claim the award, our new number 11, received 40% of the votes pipping Yankho Singo, who came second with 24% of the votes. Tough luck to Yamikani Mologeni and Adepoju Babatunde who were also part of the four-man nomination list.
