Bridget Malemia joins Malawi camp

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women’s goalkeeper, Bridget Malemia, has received her first Malawi national team call-up.

The 26-year-old was called to replace Yamikani Kaonga, who withdrew from the training camp as the Scorchers prepare to face Zambian Copper Queens in two friendly matches away in Lusaka this month.

Malemia, who joined Bullets last year, was a consistent performer for our women’s side in the just-ended Goshen-FAM Women’s Football Southern Region League, helping the team win the championship unbeaten.

She is known for her quick reflexes, commanding presence, and ability to perform under pressure.

Her late inclusion means Bullets has contributed four members to the latest Malawi team following the initial call-up of our women’s team head coach Maggie Chombo and midfielders Tendai Sani and Zainab Kapanda.
