FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are delighted to announce the signing of Paul Master, who has penned a three-year contract with the club.
Master, 24, arrives as a free agent after concluding a six-year stint with Blue Eagles. During his time there, the defensive midfielder was instrumental in steering the Area 30 side back to the TNM Super League after their relegation to the Chipiku Central Region Football League in 2023.
Master also played a pivotal role in Blue Eagles’ success, helping them secure the 2019 Fisd Cup and the 2024 FDH Bank Cup.
After officially signing on Friday, Master shared his excitement with the club’s media: “I am incredibly excited to be part of Bullets. I sincerely thank God for this opportunity. When the offer came, I didn’t hesitate—it’s a true honor to join such a distinguished club.”
Master enters a talented midfield group that’s already making waves early in the 2025 season. He sees the fierce competition for starting places as inspiration to push harder and prove himself to coach Peter Mponda.
“This competition motivates me to strive for excellence. Being challenged is essential for success, and I am ready to give my all to earn a place in the starting lineup. I was fully aware of the level of competition here, and I welcome it. Going head-to-head with some of the league’s top midfielders excites me. I’m here to make an impact and will do all I can to contribute to the team,” he continued.
“My aim is to give everything to this club. Bullets is built on a winning mentality, and I want to help keep that tradition alive. I’m committed to rewarding the trust the club has placed in me.
“My goal is to help secure more victories for Bullets and to make a real difference on the pitch—that’s the reason I’m here,” he added.
Master acknowledges that joining a club with such a huge and passionate fanbase brings increased expectations, but he’s ready to embrace the challenge—even if settling in takes time.
“Adapting quickly to life at a big club like Bullets isn’t simple, but I’m confident it’s a challenge I can overcome. I’m prepared to work hard, adapt to the team, and compete at the top level to earn the supporters’ confidence. Ultimately, I want to win the trust and backing of everyone associated with Bullets.”
Welcoming his new recruit, Mponda said: “Paul made a big impression during his time with Blue Eagles. His arrival gives us greater depth in midfield, a crucial area for dictating the flow of the game. I’m eager to have a player of his quality join us and look forward to working together. The presence of experienced players raises the bar for everyone, inspiring the whole squad to perform at their best.”
