A moment from the first-round encounter between Bullets Women and Silver Strikers Ladies at Mpira Stadium in October

Silver vs Bullets Women: Venue returns to Silver Stadium

The 2025 NBM Women’s Premiership season comes to an electrifying conclusion this Sunday as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women travel to take on Silver Strikers Ladies. The venue has returned to Silver Stadium.

On Thursday, the Football Association of Malawi announced that the fixture would be moved to Bingu National Stadium.

However, in a follow-up statement on Friday morning, FAM confirmed the match would be played at Area 47 due to circumstances beyond their control. With the final now back at the familiar home of the champions-elect, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown.

Maule Ladies head into the match after a tight 1–0 defeat to Civil Service Women on Chilembwe Day at Mpira Stadium. Despite the setback, Maggie Chombo’s squad has shown fight, discipline, and resilience all season, making the club proud and keeping fans excited.

Sitting third on the league table with 31 points, Bullets will be looking to finish the inaugural NBM Women’s Premiership campaign on a high.

Silver Strikers Ladies are poised to be crowned champions-elect during the final game, currently leading the table with 45 points, while Ascent Soccer Academy sit second on 38 points.

The battle for third place is heating up as the season draws to a close. The Lilongwe-based military women’s team, MDF Lioness, currently fourth with 28 points and a goal difference of 13, travel to face relegated Topik Academy in Luwinga, Mzuzu, while Ascent host another Mzuzu-based relegated side, Moyale Sisters.

Bullets, sitting third with 31 points and a superior goal difference of 14, know that a positive result on Sunday will secure third place and cap off a successful season for the Maule Ladies. In the first-round encounter between the two sides in October at Mpira Stadium, Silver edged Chombo’s side 1-0, adding extra motivation for a strong performance in the season finale.

Kick-off is set for Sunday, 25 January at 14:30, and the Maule Ladies are determined to secure a victory over the champions-elect to cement third place and conclude the season in style.

Bullets fans in Lilongwe are encouraged to pack Silver Stadium and come out in full Bullets colours. Entry is free of charge, so everyone can cheer every pass, tackle, and goal as the Maule Ladies aim to finish the inaugural league season on a high.

Fans can also grab their Bullets jerseys at Into Sports located at Gateway Mall, and in Blantyre at Chichiri Shopping Mall and Menz World shop, or at any First Capital Bank branch across the country. It’s a historic finale, so show up, wear the pride, and back The People’s Team all the way.
