FCB Nyasa Big Bullets return to Mpira Stadium on Saturday for a meeting with Silver Strikers that will bring our FDH Bank Premiership first-round programme to a close.
After last weekend’s pause for the Airtel Top 8 final, league action returns with a fixture carrying significant weight at the summit. Kick-off is scheduled for 14:30.
Open Stand tickets are priced at MWK15,000, with admission to the VIP Stand set at MWK25,000.
There will be no advance sales, with tickets available exclusively at Mpira Stadium on matchday.
Silver arrive leading the standings on goal difference with 29 points, level with Mighty Wanderers, while Bullets head into the weekend fourth on 27.
With only two points separating the sides, Saturday’s result could redraw the top of the table as the first round concludes. A big turnout is expected, so Maule supporters are urged to arrive early, purchase their tickets and take their seats before the gates close.
Wedson Nyirenda’s side have collected seven points from our last three league assignments to remain firmly among the leading pack.
A 2-0 home victory over Chitipa United was followed by a 1-0 win away to Karonga United before our goalless draw against Luanar Mitundu at Dedza Stadium.
The draw in Dedza secured a third successive clean sheet and maintained our position as the division’s best defensive side, with only seven goals conceded in 14 fixtures.
Bullets also collected maximum points from the two league meetings with Silver last season, winning 1-0 at Bingu National Stadium before completing the double with a 2-1 victory at Kamuzu Stadium.
Now back on home soil, Bullets have an opportunity to finish the first round strongly and make our move in a tightly contested title race.
