Godfrey Nkhakananga during Bullets’ 2-1 victory over Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium.

Match Officials: MAFCO vs Bullets

Godfrey Nkhakananga has been appointed to referee FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ FDH Bank Premiership meeting with MAFCO at Civo Stadium on Sunday.

Hendrix Maseko and Innocent Jaha will run the lines, with Mercy Mziya serving as fourth official and Boswell Msango appointed match assessor.

All five officials have previously handled Bullets fixtures this season, while Nkhakananga will referee The People’s Team for the second time.

We head to Lilongwe for the Matchweek 17 encounter looking to consolidate top spot after last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Blue Eagles took Wedson Nyirenda’s men to 33 points, one ahead of Mighty Wanderers.

Godfrey Nkhakananga, Referee

Nkhakananga’s only previous Bullets appointment this season came in Matchweek 7, when we defeated Kamuzu Barracks 2-1 at Civo Stadium.

He issued one yellow card in that encounter, with no Bullets player cautioned.

The referee has taken charge of 11 league matches this campaign, most recently Creck Sporting Club’s meeting with Moyale at Civo Stadium last Sunday.

This weekend’s fixture will be his 12th league assignment of the season and second involving The People’s Team.

Hendrix Maseko, Assistant Referee 1

Sunday brings Maseko’s third involvement in a Bullets fixture across all competitions this season.

He served as first assistant referee in our 2-2 league draw against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium.

His next appointment came in the Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal second leg against Ekhaya at Mpira Stadium, where he worked as second assistant referee.

Maseko has made 13 league appearances this campaign, serving 11 times as first assistant referee and twice as second assistant referee.

The MAFCO encounter will take his league tally to 14 assignments, including 12 as first assistant referee.

Innocent Jaha, Assistant Referee 2

Jaha has previously been involved in one Bullets match this campaign, serving as second assistant referee against Goshen City Dedza Dynamos at Dedza Stadium in Matchweek 11.

His four league assignments this season comprise three appearances as second assistant referee and one as first assistant referee.

Sunday will be his fifth league assignment of the campaign and fourth as second assistant referee.

Mercy Mziya, Fourth Official

Mziya returns to Civo Stadium for her second Bullets appointment this season, having served as fourth official in our season-opening 2-2 draw against Civil Service United.

All four of her league assignments so far have come as fourth official, with the MAFCO fixture set to be her fifth in the same role.

Boswell Msango, Match Assessor

Msango’s previous Bullets assignment came in Matchweek 5, when he assessed our 1-1 draw against Blue Eagles at Civo Stadium.

He has assessed eight league fixtures this campaign.

The meeting with MAFCO will be his ninth league assignment, second involving Bullets and first involving the soldiers this season.
