FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves’ Misheck Billiat and Kondwani Tebulo have earned call-ups to the Malawi Under-20 provisional squad ahead of the 12th African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Youth Tournament, scheduled for July 2026 in Mozambique.
The duo, who have previously featured in junior Malawi squads, return to the national team setup as they join the junior Flames camp. The camp commenced on 21 December at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Thyolo and will run until 3 January 2026. This marks the first phase of preparations, with the technical panel assessing players and beginning to shape a competitive squad for the regional tournament.
Both players have been impressive in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League this season. Tebulo made a significant impact off the bench, scoring and providing an assist in Bullets Reserves’ 4-1 victory over Immigration FC at Kamuzu Stadium on Thursday, a result that moved the team to third in the standings.
Billiat, a right-footed dynamic winger, has been the heartbeat of the Bullets Reserves attack. With pace, creativity, and an eye for decisive passes and goals, he has consistently influenced matches and caught the attention of national selectors with his performances this season.

A versatile left-footed wingback, Tebulo has been a standout for Bullets Reserves throughout the campaign. He combines defensive solidity with a knack for scoring crucial goals. His composure, tactical intelligence, and leadership have made him one of the team’s most dynamic performers, capable of influencing games at both ends of the pitch.
Their call-up not only rewards their hard work but also marks a successful return to the national setup. It highlights a clear pathway for other young talents within the Bullets system aspiring to reach the national team and reinforces the club’s commitment to developing the next generation of Malawian football stars.Bullets Reserves’ Kondwani Tebulo and Misheck Billiat return to the Malawi U-20 squad ahead of the 2026 AUSC Region 5 Youth Tournament.
