FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will face Mighty Tigers in the Castel Challenge Cup quarterfinals.
The draw was confirmed on Sunday after Mighty Tigers edged Civil Service United 3–2 on penalties following a 1–1 draw in regulation time. The quarterfinal draw was conducted at halftime of the Tigers versus Civil Service United tie at Mpira Stadium.
The much-anticipated clash will be played this weekend, with Bullets set to travel away to a venue that will be confirmed by the Football Asscoation of Malawi.
The two teams will meet just a month after their TNM Super League encounter ended in a goalless draw — a result that played a key role in denying The People’s Team a shot at the league title. That stalemate remains fresh in the memory and adds extra edge to the upcoming knockout fixture.
Bullets are eyeing a second silverware this season after winning the Airtel Top 8 while missing out on the FDH Bank Cup and the league. The People’s Team last lifted the Castel Challenge Cup in 2023, a year the Malawi giants won a historic quadruple.
