Clyde Senaji named Bullets’ new captain

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Peter Mponda has named Clyde Senaji as the new captain of the first team.

The Kenyan defender previously held the role of vice-captain in 2024, under the leadership of then-coach Kalisto Pasuwa.

Senaji had been wearing the armband during our 2025 pre-season friendly matches, which concluded on Sunday. Now, Mponda has solidified his role, entrusting him to lead the squad as we head into the new campaign.

Mponda highlighted the Kenyan’s leadership skills and experience as key factors.

“Clyde Senaji will be our captain. It wasn’t a difficult choice—he’s highly experienced and has strong leadership qualities. Having served as vice-captain last season, he’s already familiar with the responsibility. We wanted someone capable of leading both on and off the pitch, and we’re confident he’s the man for the job. As a leader, he’ll inspire his teammates to give their all for the badge,” the Bullets gaffer told club media.

Mponda also announced midfielder Lloyd Aaron as the new vice-captain, expressing confidence in his capability to take on the responsibility.

“Lloyd Aaron is the vice-captain. His leadership was evident when he wore the armband in Sunday’s game against Blue Eagles. He took charge and proved he’s the ideal choice. He’ll work alongside Senaji to guide the team,” Mponda added.

The club wishes both Senaji and Aaron great success as they take on their first team leadership roles.
