The TNM Super League resumes next week with a revised schedule after its suspension in January due to Covid-19 preventive regulations.
On Thursday, the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) announced that the games, which were suspended in Match Week 9, return next Friday, again without fans.
The League was put on hold when Nyasa Big Bullets were preparing to travel to Lilongwe to face MAFCO, however the revised schedule has pitted The People’s Team against 15th-placed Mzuzu Warriors in its eighth game of the 2020-21 campaign.
The defending champions, currently on position eight on the log table with 12 points from seven games, will host The Green Warriors at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday, April 3, before playing away to Mighty Tigers at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe on Monday, April 5.
Bullets will then travel to the central region to face fourth-placed MAFCO at Civo Stadium on April 10. A week later, Kalisto Pasuwa’s side will host Civil Service at Kamuzu Stadium, before another away fixture to Ekwendeni Hammers on April 24 in Mzuzu.
The Blantyre derby between Bullets and BE Forward Wanderers, which was initially set to be played on January 2 but was postponed due to Covid-19 cases in Bullets camp, has been rescheduled for May 1 at the Kamuzu Stadium.
After clashing city rivals Wanderers, The People’s Team will be back on the road for another away fixture in Lilongwe on May 8 against Silver Strikers, who are currently top with 19 points collected from nine games.
Bullets will complete the first round with a home tie against TN Stars on May 14.
The Super League returns after the Malawi Government, through the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, on Wednesday granted football to resume without fans as only 100 people are allowed during gatherings.
