Kalisto Pasuwa has named Nyasa Big Bullets XI for this afternoon’s TNM Super League match against Ntopwa FC at Kamuzu Stadium and has made two changes, with Chimango Kayira finding his way back into the starting team.
The vice-captain had been on the sidelines for the opening five games in this campaign due to a knee injury, before coming off the bench in Bullets’ 3-1 win at home over Kamuzu Barracks last weekend.
The experienced defensive linkman, who replaces youngster Ernest Petro, will interlink Aziz Mwakifuna behind Chimwemwe Idana in midfield.
Pasuwa has maintained the same back-four of Gomegzani Chirwa, Nickson Nyasulu, Miracle Gabeya and Precious Sambani.
The People’s Team were on fire last weekend against Kamuzu Barracks especially in the first 45 minutes, scoring all three goals in the opening half through Peter Banda, who netted a brace, and Zicco Mkanda.
Pasuwa has reintroduced Patrick Phiri into the starting XI to replace Banda, who left midweek for Moldova to undergo trials at FC Sherriff Tiraspol.
Phiri will play on the left of Bullets’ attacking while Meshack Seleman will be on the right and Hassan Kajoke will be leading attack.
Starting XI: Chiyenda; Chirwa, Nyasulu, Gabeya, Sambani; Kayira (C), Aziz, Idana; Seleman, Patrick, Kajoke.
Subs: Chimbamba, Lanjesi, Fodya, Zonda, Mgwira, Mkwate, E. Petro, Chima, Msowoya, Mkanda.
