Nyasa Big Bullets scored 19 goals in the month of November and three efforts netted by Gomezgani Chirwa, Lanjesi Nkhoma and Hassan Kajoke are in the running for the newly-introduced Precious Medicals International (PMI) Goal of the Month award.
CHIRWA v MOYALE
The wingback gets on the nomination list for the sumptuous goal he banged during Bullets’ 3-1 win over Moyale Barracks in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium on 12 November. The Player of the Month for October received a lofted ball from his partner in defence, Nickson Nyasulu, and dinked it over Moyale’s goalkeeper McDonald Harawa from outside the area into the back of the net. This was a cracking goal for the defender and a wonderful team goal involving five touches from three Bullets players from their own box to the final third of the other end.
NKHOMA v KARONGA
Second on the nomination list is Lanjesi NKhoma for the right-foot curler he produced in our 7-0 home win against Karonga United in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 at Kamuzu Stadium on 5 November. The forward had an army of Karonga United defenders in front of him but although he did not get a clear sight of the goal, he still managed to pounce on Patrick Mwaungulu’s scrappy touch and produced a curler so appealing to the eye.
KAJOKE v DEDZA
The third and last on the list is our last season’s top goal scorer Hassan Kajoke for his clever header which downed Dedza Dynamos on the closing day of the league season with a 2-1 victory for The People’s Team at Kamuzu Stadium on 19 November. The beauty of this goal comes from the striker’s whip-smart anticipation he showed to get on the brilliantly struck free-kick from Mwaungulu and nod it home for the winner.
