It’s a busy weekend at Kamuzu Stadium as three of our teams gear up for action on home turf this Saturday. From the Under-19s to the Women’s side and the First Team, all eyes will be on Bullets as we resume duties across various competitions.
The day promises an exciting triple-header, kicking off with the youth side early in the morning, followed by the Women’s team just before noon, and culminating with the First Team returning to TNM Super League duties later in the afternoon.
This packed football schedule reflects the club’s growing footprint across all levels of competition. With each team chasing different targets—youth development, league points, and title ambitions—Saturday offers a chance for our players to inspire the home fans, build momentum, and showcase the strength of the Maule system.
Under-19s Aim for a Response
The first team in action this Saturday will be our Under-19 side, who will host Airspot United in a Blantyre District Youth Football League fixture at 9:30 AM.
The young Maule will be looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Agumbala FC earlier this week. With the players eager to correct their mistakes and climb the standings, Saturday’s match presents the perfect opportunity to reset their rhythm and get back to winning ways.
Women’s Team Hosts Topik Academy
Our women’s team will follow with a home tie against Mzuzu-based Topik Academy, kicking off at 11:00 AM. Maggie Chombo’s charges will be aiming to bounce back from last weekend’s 3-1 loss away to Ascent Academy in Lilongwe.
Currently sixth on the log with five matches played in the 2025 NBM Women’s Premiership, the ladies will look to use home advantage to their benefit.
The team will be hoping to have forward Mary Chavinda and captain Zainab Kapanda, who both picked up injuries during the last outing.
First Team Returns to League Action
The senior men’s side rounds off the day’s triple-header, hosting Dedza Dynamos in a TNM Super League fixture at 14:30.
Peter Mponda’s men currently top the standings with 40 points, holding a slender one-point lead over second-placed Mighty Wanderers. The People’s Team will be looking to continue their fine form after returning from the international break, having beaten Songwe Border United 3-1 away in Karonga before the pause.
Saturday’s match will be Bullets’ third league fixture in the second round of the campaign, and another crucial opportunity to maintain momentum in the title race.
A Super Saturday Awaits
With three back-to-back fixtures featuring our youth, women’s and first teams, Saturday promises to be a football-filled day at Kamuzu Stadium. Come out in numbers and back The People’s Team across all categories.
