Introducing the Nyasa Big Bullets Foundation

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have introduced the Nyasa Big Bullets Foundation, a community-focused arm of The People’s Team aimed at driving meaningful impact beyond football.

The organisation was unveiled on Friday evening during an event where the club confirmed the renewal of its sponsorship with First Capital Bank and unveiled Zonse Lotto as a new partner.

Operating under the tagline “The People’s Impact”, the Foundation has been established to harness the power of the club’s platform to uplift communities across Malawi through structured social initiatives.

The introduction marks a significant step in the club’s continued commitment to community engagement, reinforcing its identity not only as a football powerhouse but also as a socially responsible institution.

The initiative builds on Bullets’ long-standing connection with its supporters and communities, transforming that relationship into organised and sustainable impact-driven programmes.

Executive Director Maya Kateka Namutwa described the Foundation as a natural evolution of the club’s identity and responsibility to its people.

“Since 1967, this club has belonged to the people—driven by their passion and sustained by their loyalty. And as we reflect on this journey, one question stands before us: what legacy does FCB Nyasa Big Bullets now leave for the people who have given this club its soul?”

She added that the Foundation represents a deliberate step towards answering that question through structured and lasting impact.

“Today, we take that step. I present to you the Nyasa Big Bullets Foundation—a not-for-profit vehicle dedicated to talent development, youth empowerment and meaningful community engagement.”

The Nyasa Big Bullets Foundation will focus on three key pillars: Youth Development, Education and Community Support, with programmes aimed at promoting grassroots football, supporting access to education and enhancing community wellbeing.

Namutwa emphasised that the Foundation will go beyond football, creating pathways for young people across different areas of development.

“It is a platform where sport meets purpose, equipping young people with skills, discipline, resilience and opportunity.”

Namutwa also highlighted the long-term vision behind the initiative.

“Nyasa Big Bullets has won trophies—and will continue to do so. But now, it is time to build something greater: people, systems and a legacy that outlives any season.”
