Bullets vs Silver Strikers fixture rescheduled for Friday

The TNM Super League clash between Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium will now be played on Friday, July 30.

The match, originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, July 31, has been rescheduled to allow The People’s Team prepare for the trip to Tanzania for the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2021, which will kick off on Sunday, August 1.

Super League of Malawi (SULOM) on Monday confirmed the new date for the top-of-the-table clash.

A communication from the local league administrators states that the change has been effected following “consultations between SULOM and FAM [Football Association of Malawi]” in consideration of Bullets’ invitation by CECAFA to represent Malawi at the tournament.

A draw for the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup, which will involve top clubs from East and Central African countries, as well as Bullets as guests, will be conducted on Tuesday.

It is expected that the TNM Super League defending champions will fly to Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

The People’s Team will use the tournament to prepare for the upcoming CAF Champions League matches slated to start in September.

Teams confirmed for the Kagame Cup 2021 are Young Africans SC, Azam FC (Tanzania), Altabara FC (South Sudan), Le Messager Ngozi FC (Burundi), APR (Rwanda), Express FC, KCCA FC (Uganda), Tusker FC (Kenya), KMKM SC (Zanzibar), Nyasa Big Bullets FC (Malawi).
