Pasuwa’s reaction to Ntopwa win

Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa says the TNM Super League has reached a boiling point where it is now a must for his players to ensure maximum points are collected in each game coming their way.

The tactician was reacting to his side’s 3-0 victory over Ntopwa FC at Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Hassan Kajoke scored a hat-trick to give The People’s Team the much-needed full points that took the defending champions top of the standings with 42 points from 20 games played so far, against Silver Strikers’ 40 points but with a game in hand.

Pasuwa, although admitting that it was a very difficult game against the Amagheto Kids, believes that Bullets are at a stage where points in every game should be collected.

“Well done to the boys. We are in the stage where we need to collect everything that is on the plate as we are still chasing the guys who are on top,” reacted the head coach during a post-match interview at the Kamuzu Stadium.

Analyzing the match, the tactician said, “In the first minutes of the game we didn’t play well, where most of our boys were second on the ball. We were not pressing enough in order for us to win the ball back and we kept on taking too much time to recover after losing it, but they came good and they scored three goals which gave us three points”.

Bullets created a lot of chances on Wednesday afternoon and could have won the match with a wider margin, and in his reaction the coach said:

“That’s one area we are having problems with. We have been squandering so many chances and we need to work on our finishing and the technique part of it because it’s bad, but the good thing is that we are scoring goals for us to win.”

Bullets’ next league assignment is against Civil Sporting Club on Saturday afternoon at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe where Pasuwa’s men will be gunning for maximum points to further the chances of maintaining the top position against the Bankers who will be traveling up North to face Chitipa United and Karonga United on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
