Mwase picks eight Bullets players for COSAFA tourney

The Malawi national team final squad for the 2021 COSAFA Cup has been announced and Nyasa Big Bullets have contributed eight players to the team traveling to South Africa on Monday.

From The People’s Team, Flames coach Meck Mwase has named Ernest Kakhobwe, Nickson Nyasulu, Chimwemwe Idana, Mike Mkwate and Zicco Mkanda in the 20-man final squad, while Richard Chimbamba, Erick Kaonga and Meshack Seleman are among the four players picked as reserves.

As per the competition’s rules and regulations, each team is supposed to register 20 players in their final squad and other five as reserves in case of COVID related incidents. Mwase has since taken four as backup for the two-week tournament to be staged in Port Elizabeth from July 6-18.
