FCB Nyasa Big Bullets suffered a 2-0 defeat to Creck Sporting Club at Aubrey Dimba Stadium on Sunday afternoon in the TNM Super League, ending a difficult outing in Mchinji where two second-half goals made the difference.
This was Bullets’ first-ever competitive match in Mchinji, having previously beaten Blue Eagles 2-1 at the same venue in a preseason friendly in March.
Bullets Start Bright but Waste Early Chances
The opening period produced end-to-end action, with both sides creating early opportunities.
Chrispin Mapemba forced a strong save from Emmance Nyirenda, while Wongani Lungu saw his thunderous strike also denied by the Creck goalkeeper.
Innocent Nyasulu responded with an important stop at the other end to keep out Ramadhan Ntafu from close range.
Bullets tested the hosts with several set pieces, but Creck defended strongly, and the closest the home side came was when Gift Kadawati fired over the bar after being found unmarked in the box.
Peter Mponda was forced into an early substitution when Wongani Lungu was withdrawn for Bright Munthali.
The first half ended goalless.
Creck Take Control With Two Quick Second-Half Goals
Creck Sporting shifted the momentum after the restart.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when George Chaomba rose above the Bullets defence to head home from a corner.
Nine minutes later, Chaomba dispossessed Andrew Jovinala and set up Jackson Beza, who doubled the lead with a composed finish to make it 2-0.
Bullets responded with changes, introducing Yankho Singo, Ephraim Kondowe and Dominic Musonda as they pushed forward in search of a comeback.
Bullets Push Late but Miss Big Chances to Respond
The best opportunity for the visitors came in the 80th minute. Musonda’s cross found Kondowe, whose header struck the post. Nyirenda then produced a stunning double save—first denying Kondowe’s follow-up effort and then blocking Babatunde Adepoju from close range.
Despite late pressure and five additional minutes, Bullets were unable to turn the tide.

What It Means
The loss in Mchinji registers Bullets’ fifth defeat in the TNM Super League this season, the club’s worst league tally in more than a decade.
Despite the setback, The People’s Team remain on 55 points—level with Mighty Wanderers but ahead on goal difference. With the title race tightening, every remaining fixture will demand a strong response.
What’s Next
Bullets will now wait to learn their next opponents.
The team was initially due to face Ekhaya on Saturday, but The Cowboys will instead complete their abandoned fixture against Mighty Wanderers, halted on 5 November due to heavy rain and rescheduled for Sunday.
