Vincent Kampira and Mtende Mayuni have been named HTD Players’ Player of the Month winners for May and June 2025, respectively, following a string of standout performances for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves.
Voted by their fellow teammates, the two young defenders stood out not just for their consistency on the pitch, but also for their work ethic, reliability, and impact in key moments.
May: Vincent Kampira
Promoted from the Bullets Under-19 side at the start of the season, Kampira made an instant impact within the Reserves setup.
He featured in all four matches in May, helping the team secure three clean sheets while conceding just three goals. But it was his attacking instinct and versatility that caught the eye of his teammates.
A highlight came in the 2-0 win over Nyambadwe United, where Kampira surged down the right flank and delivered a precise assist for Hadji Steven to double the lead — a moment that summed up his energy and attacking quality.
Pace, discipline, and composure made Kampira a standout performer throughout the month, earning him the HTD Players’ Player of the Month honour for May.
June: Mtende Mayuni
A newcomer this season from Sporting CP Academy in Mzuzu, centre-back Mtende Mayuni was a commanding figure for Bullets Reserves in June.
He featured in all six matches during the month, leading from the back as the team recorded three clean sheets and conceded only three goals.
His defining moment came in the 4-1 win over Ntopwa, when his long-range pass from deep set up the opening goal. His vision and confidence in that moment reflected his growing presence in the squad.
Mayuni’s leadership, calmness under pressure, and reliability earned him the respect of his teammates — and the title of HTD Players’ Player of the Month for June.
Future Looks Bright
Congratulations to Vin and Mtende, two rising stars who continue to embody the values and potential of the Bullets Reserves squad.
The HTD Players’ Player of the Month awards are a unique initiative that recognises not only performance, but the respect earned within the team — and both winners have clearly made their mark.
