Rabson Chiyenda, Ephraim Kondowe and Precious Phiri are the nominees for the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month for October.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets played a total number of eight games in October in all competitions, winning six, drawing once and registering a single loss.
October was an incredible month for The People’s Team as they successfully defended the FDH Bank Cup, reaching the Airtel Top 8 semi-finals and jealously cemented our top spot in the TNM Super League.
Let’s take you back and look at how the nominated trio performed this month coming to an end.
Rabson Chiyenda
After spending most of the first round of the season on the sidelines, our number-one goalkeeper returned in goals with outstanding performances in October.
Chiyenda made seven appearances out of the eight matches Bullets played in all competitions.
From those appearances, he registered three clean sheets with one coming from our FDH Bank Cup final triumph over Mafco FC at the Bingu National Stadium.
After another incredible display, Chiyenda was voted Man of the Match when The People’s Team defeated Chitipa United 2-0 on 21 October in the league at Kamuzu Stadium.
Ephraim Kondowe
The forward, who made six appearances in October and found the back of the net four times, returns on the nomination list after bagging the Player of the Month for August.
He scored in our 3-0 win over Mafco in the FDH Bank Cup final before striking against Moyale Barracks and Kamuzu Barracks.
With a brace, Kondowe inspired The People’s Team to a 3-2 win away at Moyale, heroics that saw him awarded the Farmers Organization Limited Man of the Match award.
Precious Phiri
The multipurpose player, winner of the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month for September, again finds himself up for the award after making seven appearances in October in which he put up spirited performances.
From a squad player, Phiri has now become a regular face in coach Kalisto Pasuwa’s team selection as he continues to contribute immensely to our performances.
