Vote for Your August Men’s HTD Player of the Month

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets enjoyed an impressive August campaign, registering four wins and one draw across five fixtures in the TNM Super League and FDH Bank Cup.

Four standout performers have emerged from this dominant run—each playing a vital role in The People’s Team’s surge back to the summit of the log table and reaching the FDH Bank Cup Round of 16.

Here are your HTD August Player of the Month nominees:

Babatunde Adepoju

The striker was in red-hot form throughout August, featuring in all five matches across both competitions.

After coming off the bench in our 1-0 away win over Mafco on 4 August, Baba made an immediate impact with his presence opening up space for Salima to net the winner.

He was again introduced as a substitute in our 3-3 home draw with Karonga United on 10 August, where he scored our third goal from the penalty spot.

On 17 August, the Nigerian forward starred in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 32, scoring four times and assisting once in a 5-0 demolition of Chilumba Barracks.

He followed that up with another goal off the bench on 23 August, doubling our lead from the spot in a 2-0 win over Chitipa United.

Baba closed out the month with a brace and an assist in our 3-1 comeback win over Songwe Border United on 27 August, where he was named Player of the Match.

Chikumbutso Salima

Salima featured in four of our five August fixtures, missing only the FDH Bank Cup match against Chilumba Barracks.

He kicked off the month with the only goal in the 77th minute to seal a 1-0 away win over Mafco, before another electric display in the 3-3 home draw against Karonga United saw him named Player of the Match.

Back in the starting lineup on 23 August, he won the penalty for Baba’s goal and again took home the Player of the Match award as we defeated Chitipa United 2-0.

Salima ended the month by scoring the third goal in our 3-1 win over Songwe Border United. Notably, this is his second consecutive Player of the Month nomination, having won the July award.

Innocent Nyasulu

Nyasulu featured in four of our five August matches, missing only the FDH Cup win over Chilumba.

He started the month with a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Mafco on 4 August, followed by another strong performance in the 3-3 draw with Karonga United on 10 August.

On 23 August, he was in commanding form against Chitipa United, making key saves from set pieces to help secure a 2-0 victory.

He wrapped up the month with another eye-catching outing on 27 August against Songwe Border United. Though he conceded from a rebound after saving a penalty, Nyasulu was impressive throughout.

Following his double penalty save away to Mzuzu City Hammers in July, this month’s attempt reinforced his growing reputation. Like Salima, Nyasulu earns a second straight nomination.

Paul Master

The midfield engine featured in four August matches, missing only the Songwe Border United game due to suspension.

Master played a key role in our 1-0 win over Mafco and was named Player of the Match for his dominant midfield presence.

He assisted one of Babatunde’s four goals in the 5-0 win over Chilumba on 17 August and was instrumental in controlling the midfield during our 2-0 away win over Chitipa United.

His consistent performances in central midfield provided balance, experience, and control throughout the month.
